July 1-5, 2019, the VI International Competition of Choral Music named after  G. V. Muzicescu was held in the cultural and historical center of Romania – the city of Iassi. The choir has been attended by choral collectives from Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Romania and other countries.

The Grand Prix in the nomination "Choirs of Musical Higher Schools" has been won by a mixed choir of students at the Faculty of Music and Choreography of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky (coaches: N.Yu. Hetmanets, O.P. Vila-Botsman, Conductor O.G. Rudyakova).

According to the requirements of the competition, the teams have performed the compulsory work of the Romanian composer Gavriil Muzicescu "Rugaciunea" in the language of the original, a spiritual work and choral Ukrainian classics. According to the jury, the performance of the concert program's chorus has been the most expressive and inspiring, which allowed the students of Ushynsky University to receive the highest award.
