Open lecture of the Indian scientist Mridula Ghosh

The Department of Political Science and Law together with the Odesa Scientific and Information Center of Euro-Atlantic Cooperation of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky organized an open lecture on November 18, 2019 of the Indian scientist Ms. Mridula Ghosh, an international historian and journalist Development, founder of the Tagore Center in Ukraine for the students of the specialty "Political Science" "Law", "Public Administration" on the topic "Postcolonial Gandhi Day: Relevant for Ukraine". Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of peace and non-violent struggle in conflict resolution is as relevant as ever. During a lively discussion with students, Mridula Ghosh spoke about: nonviolent methods of struggle, passive resistance - the central principles of Mahatma Gandhi's liberation movement; hybridity and current political complications, such as the emergence of "new dictators" in post-totalitarian societies, the development of illiberal movements in European countries, the strengthening of international norms and the use of weapons, the emergence of "post truth" and others.
