Odessa, December 7-9, 2016 in the educational and cultural center "Confucius Institute" at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky there was held a selection of Ukrainian participants at the International Competition "Chinese Bridge", which was attended by students of Ushynsky University,  International Humanitarian University and Odessa National University after I. I. Mechnikov.

The competition was attended by special guests: Deputy Consul General of China in Odessa Mr. Guo Hunlyan, Consul for Education and Culture Ms. Yu Chzhoulin, Director of the International Department Svitlana Skorokhod, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Olena Mychaylivna Obraztsova. The jury were teachers of the Confucius Institute, Zhao Yan, Fang Lin and Zhang Yabin, a teacher of the Chinese language at ONU after I. Mechnikov Petro Bartosz, a teacher of the Chinese language at International Humanitarian University Anastasia Belyaeva, the director of «Fine Centre» Natalia Havryliuk.

The event, which is held every year, allows students to not only show their potential, but also to participate in the national stage of the competition, and then go to the competition "Chinese Bridge" in China and represent their country in the international arena.
