On June 14, 2023, scientists of Ushynsky University took part in the round table meeting "Using artificial intelligence in education: ChatGPT and more". The university is one of the organizers of the event and together with the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Office of Scientist Support, DNU "Ukrainian Institute of Science -technical expertise and information" (UkrINTEI), the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ternopil Regional Communal Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education brought together more than 700 people from educational institutions of all levels in Ukraine to discuss the issues of the event .
Three scientists of the university - representatives of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics - took part in the event as speakers, namely: Tetyana MAZUROK, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. spoke in a panel discussion and spoke about adaptive learning models and automated learning systems. This topic was continued at the session meeting by Volodymyr CHERNIKH, candidate of pedagogy, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence in the implementation of adaptive learning. Vyacheslav KORABLYOV conducted a detailed comparative analysis of generative models: from ChatGPT text schemes to Stable Diffusion image models and sound generation.
One of the forms of participation in the event was the preparation and presentation of a poster about the experience and directions of using AI in educational and scientific processes at the university. Presentation of such a poster from Ushynsky University was carried out by Volodymyr CHERNYKH.
Based on the results of the discussion of the issues raised at the Round Table meeting, a resolution was formed, which will be sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, specialized scientific institutions, etc. Agreements were also reached regarding the holding of a number of events, including master classes for educators on the development of AI application skills in educational and scientific activities. Some of them will be conducted by specialists of Ushynsky University.
