As part of the active implementation of the partnership program and the agreement on scientific and pedagogical consulting with Odesa Lyceum No. 55, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Leonova V. I. and the students of specialty 231 "Social Work" conducted an interactive training "My World of Emotions: How to Understand Yourself and Others" for students of the 4-D inclusive class. The event was held within the framework of the academic discipline "Organization of Social and Pedagogical Training", which allowed students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience working with children. During the training, children deepened their understanding of their own emotions, learned to determine their causes and find safe ways to express feelings. Interactive exercises and role-playing games helped students not only recognize the emotions of other people, but also develop empathy and effective interaction skills. Particular attention was paid to the topic of friendship - the children analyzed the traits of a good friend, considered life situations that arise in relationships with peers, and looked for ways to constructively resolve them.
As one of the students noted: “Such events are an opportunity to experience in practice how important it is to teach children emotional literacy and mutual understanding. We not only help children, but also develop our own professional skills.”
The students actively participated in the exercises, shared their own thoughts and impressions. One of the young participants noted:
“I liked learning how to better understand my feelings and be a good friend.”
The atmosphere of the event was friendly and positive, which contributed to open communication and mutual support among the children. The successful training was the result of the coordinated work of student stakeholders, who were the pedagogical workers of the lyceum: primary school teacher Viktoria Ivanivna Goncharova, assistant teacher Kristina Yurievna Gurevskaya, social educator Natalia Volgunova.
Such events are an integral part of the practical training of future social workers. They contribute to the development of professional competencies in students necessary for effective work in an inclusive educational environment and social support for children.
The partnership program continues to develop actively: new meetings are planned both in this educational institution and in other general educational institutions of the city of Odesa. Teachers of the Social Work educational program support group will continue to promote initiatives that combine high-quality training of students and social support of the educational community.
