On October 24, 2025, the X1 International Scientific and Methodological Conference of Young Scientists and Students “Musical and Choreographic Education in the Context of the Cultural Development of Society” was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Musical and Performing Arts and Socio-Cultural Practices.

The conference was attended by more than 150 scientists, teachers, postgraduates and students from Ukraine, the USA, Poland, Moldova, Finland, Sweden, China, Switzerland, Germany.

The conference was opened by the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor O.Ye. Rebrova, who emphasized the purpose of the conference, its scientific profile, and introduced the participants.

The plenary session of the conference became a real platform for the meeting of scientists and practitioners, combining the experience, ideas and inspiration of representatives of different scientific schools. The speech and presentation of the Doctor of Arts, Professor of the University of Silesia (Poland) Myroslav Kisel immediately brought to the fore the issues of the functions and significance of musical art in today's crisis situations. The report in Polish was accompanied by a translation by the Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor G.Yu. Nicolai. The Doctor of Arts, Professor, Head of the Department of Art Education and Visual-Musical Practices of the Grigoriy Skovoroda University in Pereyaslav, Tetyana Martyniuk, delivered a welcoming speech and provided relevant information. A thorough analysis of the phenomenon of hermeneutics in art education was presented in the presentation of the Doctor of Arts, Member of the European Academy, Professor S.V. Shyp, Professor of the Department of Music and Choreography of the Ushynsky University.

The participants from Ukraine represented the following HEIs: Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University; V. Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State University; SI “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky"; Municipal Institution of Higher Education "Academy of Culture and Arts" of the Transcarpathian Regional Council; Ukrainian State University named after M. P. Drahomanov; Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi; Uman State Pedagogical University named after Pavlo Tychyna; Dnipro Academy of Music; Odesa National Music Academy named after A. V. Nezhdanova; Ternopil National Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Hnatyuk; Ternopil Music Professional College named after Solomiya Krushelnytska; Terebovlya Professional College of Culture and Arts.

The conference was held in a mixed format. During the air raid warning, the participants of the sectional meetings were able to continue their speeches in the shelter. After the call-back, the mixed format was continued.

The sectional part of the conference became not only a space for presentations, but also a fruitful dialogue between generations, methods and cultural traditions, which contributes to the further development of Ukrainian art pedagogy in the global context, in particular, the European context.
