September 26, 2018, the students of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky took part in the unusual flash mob under the slogan "Ushynsky University Reads" in the framework of the events dedicated to the celebration of the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries (September 30, 2018).

The event has been held to promote the book among educators. The university library and student asset became the organizers. Just across the street between the campus of the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the library building, a chain of students with books on a bright cover has been formed. The book flashmob certainly has attracted the attention of all passers-by, as well as a rich stream of passengers in Staroportofrankivska street.
