November 17-18, 2018, the All-Ukrainian Training "Improving the Qualifications of Volunteers from the People's Republic of China" was held on the basis of the "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University. Foreign trainers from the Chinese language of educational institutions of Ukraine became participants.

The ceremony for the opening of a new direction of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation has been attended by representatives of the diplomatic mission of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine headed by the First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine Mr. Wang Dujun, as well as teachers and students of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky under the leadership of the Rector, Academician Olexii Ya. Chebykin.

During the trainings volunteer teachers have been presented: new directions of teaching Chinese in elementary and secondary schools; peculiarities of studying Ukrainians of all kinds of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing); technologies of teaching phonetics, grammar, vocabulary; methodical aspects of preparation of Ukrainian pupils / students for examinations YCT / HSK (K); the specifics of Ukrainian-Chinese cross-cultural communication; ways to overcome life and psychological difficulties while working in the education system; introduction of modern teaching methods of the Chinese language, as well as ways of professional improvement of teachers, etc.

Upon completion of the work, 72 participants received a certificate of completion of the course preparation at the Educational and Cultural Center of the Confucius Institute of Ushynsky University.
