On December 4, 2020, the Rector of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, Academician Olexii Yakovych Chebykin, met with the leadership of the student council and representatives of the student body of institutes and faculties.

During the meeting of the Rector and the students discussed topical issues of the University, in particular: translation of the educational process into a mixed form, using elements of children's education during the 1st semester of the 2020/2021 academic year; renewal of the training base - opening of the innovation laboratory "Coworking space "The hub for the implementation of innovative learning tools "ICR Ecosystem" at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics; preparation for the beginning of work of modern laboratory on psychology at social and humanitarian faculty; purchase of new computer equipment and interactive whiteboards; implementation of an investment project to develop training facilities; problems of university financing, payment of utilities; the need to optimize the structure of free economic zones; features of this year's introductory campaign; consideration of project proportions of the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the introduction of pedagogical internship; improving living conditions in dormitories; the order of stay in Ukraine of foreign participants in the educational process; the need for all students and teachers to comply with anti-corruption legislation; reference to preventive work on the prevention of respiratory diseases.
