On May 20, 2020, the Rector, Academician O. Ya. Chebykin and the Vice-Rector for Research G.V. Muzychenko met with the Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration S.S. Fabrikant to coordinate the goals and program results of training at Ushynsky University with regional development programs and labor market needs.

In particular, S.S. Fabrikant stressed that in accordance with the "Development Strategy of Odesa region for 2021-2027" the development of education and training of bachelors and masters in pedagogical specialties for the needs of the region remains a priority.
