Today is the holiday of the Ukrainian language and writing, a day when we have an opportunity to bow to the Word in its beauty, expressiveness, accuracy and variety. Language is a universal form of uniting people into one whole, it is an important factor in the nation's self-determination, a reliable basis for the development of the state. And during a full-scale war, the Ukrainian language is not only a sign of national identity and citizenship, but also a tool for fighting the enemy. You can defend your country from an aggressor not only with weapons, but also with words.
Our faculty community has rich traditions of honoring the Ukrainian language, its scientific study, popularization and image enhancement - from the preparation of future Ukrainian philologists, textbooks and manuals, constant participation in various competitions, to the organization of courses and humanitarian projects of Ukrainian language learning, the involvement of the media, holding flash -mobs and presentational communication actions. Just today under the slogan "Language is our amulet, language is our weapon!" the thematic week of the Ukrainian language begins at the Faculty of History and Philology.
We congratulate everyone on this holiday, and we wish you to establish the Ukrainian language, build a spiritually free country, educate worthy representatives of your people and be proud of your native language. Common cause and unity is the key to success and the way to Victory!
