As part of the implementation of the International Scientific Project "Cross-Border Cooperation of the Countries of Central-Eastern Europe" (leader - Prof. Olena Lyseenko), on September 26, 2023, the next International Scientific and Practical Conference "The Phenomenon of Social Consolidation in Central-Eastern Europe: New Realities and challenges", which is organized by the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Sociocultural Activities of Ushynsky University, the Southern Ukrainian Branch of the Sociological Association of Ukraine, the Association of Sociologists and Demographers of Moldova. Scientists from the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Legal, Political and Sociological Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, scientific and pedagogical workers and students of various levels of higher education in Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia and other cities took part in the event. The plenary session was opened by the Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of NASU, Doctor of Philosophy, prof. Yevhenii Holovakha with a report "War and social consolidation in Ukraine: experience of monitoring research".
At the plenary session and panel discussion, the conference participants discussed topical issues related to the definition of the factors of social consolidation and social cohesion in the conditions of war, the peculiarities of the identity of forced Ukrainian migrants, the state and opportunities for the development of Ukrainian education during the war, the European dimension of corruption in Ukrainian society, practical aspects of strengthening social solidarity in wartime. Prospects for further scientific cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova were outlined.
