On December 6, 2023, Ushynsky University held a lecture dedicated to World AIDS Day, the main purpose of which was to draw society's attention to the current issue and spread knowledge and awareness about it.
The speaker was Maria Ivanivna Chubach, an infectious disease specialist at the Center for the Prevention and Control of HIV/AIDS of the Odesa City Council.
During the lecture, students and employees had the opportunity to learn about the properties of HIV infection, the ways of transmission, considered the risks and factors contributing to the spread of the disease, how to protect yourself from infection, and what protection methods are best.
All interested parties had the opportunity to undergo free anonymous testing for the detection of a threatening infection (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis).
