In the context of new requirements for education and science related to the European integration of Ukraine, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" acted as a co-organizer of the International scientific and practical online conference "EUROPEAN INTEGRATION IN ART, SCIENCE AND EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE, DEVELOPMENT PERSPECTIVES", which was held on March 8, 2024 at Klaipeda University (Lithuania). European partners of the conference include Zadar University (Croatia) and Alba Iulia University "December 1, 1918" (Romania). In general, the conference brought together scientists from seven countries of the world (more than 200 participants, of which more than 50 are employees of Ushynsky University).
The conference, which was devoted to current aspects of art, culture, pedagogy and psychology, brought together European and Ukrainian researchers to present new theoretical ideas and their practical use in relevant thematic areas.
At the plenary session of the conference, scientists of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky":
1. Andrii Vasylovych Krasnozhon, the Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor. Topic of the report: Education in Ukraine in Conditions of War: New Challenges (report in English).
2. Muzychenko Hanna Vyacheslavivna, the Vice-rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor. The topic of the report: The Functionality of PhD Student Supervisors and the Possibilities of its Development (report in English).
3. Tarasenko Andrii Andriyovych, Associate Professor, PhD in Art Studies. The subject of the report: Odesa Painting: Themes and Stylistics of the Millennium (report in English).
4. Ponomarenko Maryna Valentynivna, Senior Teacher, PhD in Art Studies. Topic of the report: Memento mori in fine art: figurative and artistic-stylistic features (report in Ukrainian).
Also during the conference, Olha Kertsman, the postgraduate student of the Department of General and Differential Psychology of Ushynsky University, presented her report on the topic "Experience of working with the perspective of inclusion in education."
The conference was held at the initiative of Maryna Ponomarenko, PhD in Art Studies at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, and with the organizational support of Dmytro Velychko, the Dean of the Faculty of Art and Graphics, and was held thanks to the invaluable support and willingness to share the experience of Lithuanian colleagues: Rędy Yatsine, Doctor of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of Klaipeda University (Lithuania).
