On May 31, at the Faculty of Music and Choreography, on the occasion of the Science Day in Ukraine, an open lecture by Doctor of Art History, Professor of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography of Ushynsky University, member of the European Academy of Sciences, head of the Scientific School "Theory of Musical Language and Semiotic Foundations of Pedagogical Hermeneutics" Serhiy Vasyliovych was held Spike on the topic "MUSIC HERMENEUTICS. WHAT CAN SHE BE LIKE?". Professor S. V. Shyp consistently defined the essence, role and place of hermeneutics in the field of musicology, noted that the key to solving the problems of musical hermeneutics is the provisions of musical semiotics, which provides the opportunity to identify the objective basis of musical hermeneutics as interpretative actions and activities. In an easy and accessible form, Serhiy Vasyliovych outlined the angles of musical hermeneutics, focused in detail on the objective and subjective reasons for misunderstanding the text, sign, situation, characterized the levels of artistic and figurative semantics of a musical work, and, most importantly, demonstrated the possible ways of modern interpretation of musical works different styles and different periods of music history. The listeners - teachers, students and graduate students of the Faculty of Music and Choreography, A.V. Nezhdanova Odesa Academy of Music, Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University, International Humanitarian University and other universities of Ukraine - showed great interest in the stated topic of the lecture. At the end of the meeting, all those willing had the opportunity to ask questions, to which Serhiy Vasyliovych answered sincerely and in detail, and expressed their gratitude to the famous Odesa musicologist.
