Choreographic performance
Based on the book of the same name by Serhiy Plachynda
On June 25, an interesting creative event took place at the Department of Musical Arts in the assembly hall of Ushynsky University - a choreographic performance "Myths and Legends of Ancient Ukraine", which was prepared by graduates of the bachelor's level of higher education, specialty 024 Choreography. This creative work of theirs is an exam in the discipline "Dance Composition", which turned into a real creative project.
Acquaintance with ancient times, with the history of our ancestors, with the Gods Perun, the evil spells of Morena, with Bilobog, Bereginia and with the loving couple Ivan and Bozhena, who defeated the spells of evil - all this was created by means of modern choreography, but in stylized pagan costumes.
It is very symbolic that all the events take place against the background of our university coat of arms, which is illuminated by the sun and resembles the image of Yarylo - God of the sun and spring, and therefore rebirth.
We are very grateful to our talented students. We wish creative success and look forward to new performances.
