On September 10, 2024, the traditional "first" meeting of postgraduate students of the first year of study (2024 entry) was held with the administration and support services of Ushynsky University. The rector of the university, Professor Andrii Krasnozhon, addressed the future PhDs with welcoming words and first instructions. The vice-rector for scientific work, Professor Hanna Muzychenko, familiarized the graduate students with the regulatory and legal requirements for the training of doctors of philosophy in Ukraine, publishing opportunities and the university network of research laboratories and centers; Oleksandra Morhun, the head of the international relations department spoke about the opportunities for international cooperation and academic mobility programs; Ksenia Maksym, the director of the university library and in cooperation with the Head of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group spoke about the policy of academic integrity and available library funds, access to open databases, a repository and a database of electronic publications. Serhiy Derevyankin, the head of the authorized division for the prevention and detection of corruption, informed about the university's anti-corruption policies and ways of solving conflict situations, the channels for reporting cases of dishonesty among graduate students. Iryna Sazonova, a psychologist, spoke about the possibility of receiving psychological help in stressful situations and solving other psychological problems, and Andrii Bortov, the head of the Center for Mental Health at Ushynsky University, told about the possibility of learning more about one's mental health. The head of the Council of Young Scientists of the University, Dmytro Belitchenko, familiarized the graduate students with the possibilities of participation in university events, research competitions, project work, etc. Iryna Khyzhnyak, the head of the postgraduate and doctoral studies department, reminded the graduate students about organizational issues related to the beginning of the educational process, the preparation of individual study plans and research plans, communication channels, etc.
