On September 13, 2024, at the meeting of the Department of Political Sciences and Law at Ushynsky University, the postgraduate students of the 2024 admission year got acquainted with the staff of the department.
According to the results of the entrance exams, in 2024, Oleksi Sokur, Nikita Lagutin, and Serhii Tsymbal won the right to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 052 Political Science. To each of them, according to the scientific interests presented in the research proposal during admission, the department offered a scientific supervisor from among full-time political scientists, representatives of the scientific school "Political dimensions of the effectiveness of management activity" (supervisor - doctor of political sciences, professor Svitlana Naumkina). In the near future, postgraduate students, together with their supervisors, will decide on the topics of dissertation research, draw up individual plans for educational and scientific work, and begin their journey to their implementation.
At the first meeting of the department, the postgraduate students were introduced to the opportunities created at the university: with a list of annual scientific conferences organized by the Department of Political Sciences and Law: "Modern Ukrainian state: vectors of development and ways of mobilizing resources" and "Modern challenges of socio-political development: political- legal, socio-economic and cultural dimensions", where all graduate students have the opportunity to test the intermediate results of their scientific investigations, with the scientific journal "POLITICUS" - a professional edition on political sciences (group B), in which every postgraduate student of the department has the right to the first free publications, as well as opportunities for conducting applied political science research on the basis of the University Center for Social and Political Research "POLITICUS".
