Every year, on the third Thursday of November, according to UNESCO regulations, World Philosophy Day is celebrated. In 2024, the celebration took place on November 21, and at the initiative of the applicants, various philosophical events were held for several more weeks. The events on the occasion of the celebration of World Philosophy Day were joined by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanities, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Oxana VDOVICHENKO, who, together with the teacher of the discipline "Philosophy", Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Yevgeny BORINSHTEYN, shared interesting philosophical facts, and held debates with the students of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, 1st year, 1st group, specialty 053 Psychology, ESP Psychology, full-time study, and postgraduate students-psychologists on the challenges facing society today.
In the dialogue format, the applicants actively participated in the search for answers to intellectual and philosophical questions - both offline and online audiences became a place for live communication on key issues of the philosophy of psychology.
The interest of psychology students in the achievements of philosophical science was noted by the head of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Socio-Cultural Activities of Ushynsky University, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Yevgen BORINSTEIN. They are active participants in the scientific circle "School of Logistics" and demonstrate deep knowledge of philosophy, creative search, and research skills.
Philosophy develops in the applicants scientific curiosity, skills to think freely, logically, and creatively, and to conduct discussions, which is extremely important for psychologists.
The round table ended with wishes for success to the participants in their future professional careers.
