On December 20-25, the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration held another defense of master's theses of the graduates for the educational and professional program "Management of an Educational Institution" in specialty 073 "Management". The examination commission was headed by the director of Odesa Lyceum No. 84, PhD in Pedagogy Kristina Tambovska, and the commission also included the deputy head of the territorial department of education of the Primorsky district of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council Volodymyr Kukhar, leading scientific and pedagogical workers of the department.
The topics of the defended master's theses reflected the most relevant problems of managing an educational institution, in particular, regarding the organization of the educational process as a whole and its individual aspects (monitoring activities, risk management, professional career development, implementation of digitalization, etc.).
Some studies focused on the role of the head of an educational institution, emphasizing his professional competence, self-actualization and self-realization, determining the trajectory of professional development, as well as the organization of the educational process in the context of modern changes. The head of the examination committee also noted the presence of acts of implementation of the results of master's research. All the works submitted for defense were supported by the publications of the applicants. A total of 30 works were defended, 15 of which were graded "excellent".
