On February 18, 2025, the Department of Musical and Instrumental Training, within the framework of the course “Practical Course in Performing an Author's Song”, organized a guest lecture on the topic: “Kobzarism: from Traditions to Modernity”. It was held by a graduate of the faculty, Honored Teacher of Ukraine, art teacher of Odesa Lyceum No. 9, reenactor of Ukrainian old-world instruments, founder of the Odesa kobzar workshop, artistic director of the “Druzhe Muzyko” group, Maksym Trubnikov. The lecture, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by bachelor's, master's and postgraduate students, as well as faculty teachers. The lecture was full of interesting factual material on the history of the origin and development of kobzar art in Ukraine. Maksym Valeriiovych noted the historical role of folk singers-kobzars; shared with those present the secrets of making kobzar instruments (kobza, lyre, bandura); demonstrated the techniques of playing the wheel lyre and a self-made kobza. The students learned with interest that in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Odesa on Malaia Arnautska Street there was a kobza workshop and had the opportunity to play the kobza. At the end of the meeting, the band "Druzhe Muzyko", which also includes a graduate of the faculty Pavlo Vlaev, performed the original songs of Maksym Trubnikov, with which the band performs for our defenders on the contact line. The lecture aroused lively interest from those present. The students actively asked questions and received comprehensive answers. They expressed words of gratitude.
Many words of gratitude to our graduates - Maksym Trubnikov and Pavlo Vlaev for the time allocated, practical experience and an extremely interesting meeting that motivates young people to acquire new knowledge.
We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to study, work and live!
