As part of the celebration of World Mathematics Day on March 14, 2025, a guest lecture by Yurii Zakhariichenko, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kyiv) on the topic “Math for life” was held at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Management. The lecture was aimed at expanding the understanding of students in specialty 014.04 Secondary Education. Mathematics about the application of mathematical methods in various fields of science, technology and everyday life. The lecture also became an important methodological case for students and teachers who attended the event: effective approaches to teaching mathematics were demonstrated, which can increase the motivation of students and reveal the practical significance of mathematics.
Those present had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in a discussion on current problems of mathematical modeling and forecasting. The organizers of the event, Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Methods of Its Teaching, Olha Zadorina, and Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics and Statistics, Olha Yakovleva, expressed their gratitude to Yurii Zakhariichenko for the meaningful and interesting lecture and their hope for further cooperation.
