On March 21, 2025, on the eve of World Theater Day, the Odesa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet presented the audience with a real holiday - the premiere of the immortal opera by Mykola Lysenko "Natalka Poltavka" based on the play of the same name by Ivan Kotlyarevsky. The performance became a real cultural phenomenon, because the last time the opera "Natalka Poltavka" was performed on the Odesa stage was in 1889. This event became special for students of the Faculty of Music and Choreography, who had the opportunity to enjoy the masterpiece of Ukrainian classical music. After all, the opera "Natalka Poltavka" is not only a pearl of Ukrainian opera art, but also an important cultural phenomenon that reflects the soul of the Ukrainian people. The fact that the role of Vozny in this production was performed by a graduate of our university - the talented Pavlo Smirnov - was a special pride for the teachers and students of the faculty. His masterful performance and acting aroused admiration among the audience and became a real decoration of the performance. The students received unforgettable impressions from watching the opera, which became not only a cultural event in the life of the city, but also a wonderful opportunity for students to experience high art and see on stage an example of a successful career of a graduate of the faculty.
