On March 27, 2025, the Department of Mathematics and Methods of Its Teaching organized and successfully held an All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic: "Continuity in Teaching Mathematics in the Conditions of the Reform of General Secondary Education: Realities and Prospects" at Ushynsky University.
The conference was attended by 120 people, including teachers of higher and professional pre-higher education institutions, postgraduate students, master's students, mathematics and primary school teachers. The participants represented various cities and regions of Ukraine, such as Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kherson, Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, Chernihiv, Zaporizhia, Pereyaslav, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Lviv, Izmail, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Uman. In addition, colleagues from Moldova and Poland joined the discussion, which gave the event an international dimension.
The conference became a platform for active discussion of important and topical issues of mathematics education, in particular:
• challenges facing mathematics education in the context of reform;
• methodological gaps in the implementation of continuity between all levels of education and strategies for overcoming them;
• the impact of artificial intelligence on the educational process;
• ways to make mathematics interesting and accessible to students.
The participants shared their ideas, practical cases and scientific developments aimed at increasing the effectiveness of mathematics teaching. The event demonstrated the high professional level of those present and opened up new prospects for cooperation in solving the problems of continuity in mathematics teaching.
The conference became a landmark event in the life of the educational community, uniting the best specialists in finding solutions for the qualitative development of mathematics education in Ukraine and abroad. We hope that the issues considered will inspire new research, and their results will contribute to the introduction of innovative methods into the educational process.
