On April 22, 2025, a professional webinar “Challenges and Risks of a Profession-Oriented School” was held on the ZOOM platform, organized by the South Ukrainian Center for Professional Development of Managers and Specialists in the Socioeconomic Sphere in cooperation with the Department of Educational Management of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Informatics and Management. The webinar speaker, Tetyana Bratkevych, the headmaster of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky Lyceum “Priority”, shared her 10-year experience in implementing multi-profile education in general secondary education.
More than 100 participants from different parts of Ukraine, in particular from Odesa, Donetsk, Kyiv, Poltava and Khmelnytsky regions, joined the event, which once again confirms the relevance and significance of the topic for the educational community.
Main issues for discussion:
- How to adapt profile education to the capabilities of the school and the needs of students;
- How to find a balance between the requests of the student and parent communities and available resources;
- What risks arise when implementing a specialized school and how to overcome them.
The participants had the opportunity not only to listen to expert reports, but also to join the dialogue, ask questions to the speakers, and exchange their own impressions and experiences. Presentations, practical cases, and experimental approaches for 2015–2025 sparked lively discussion among the participants.
We express our sincere gratitude to all participants of the webinar for their activity and interest in transformations in the education system.
