On May 20, the Round Table “Artificial Intelligence and Fantasy Naming” was held at Ushynsky University. The round table was organized by the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Ushynsky University and was dedicated to Science Day, Banker’s Day and HR Manager’s Day and was held as part of the meeting of the “School of Logistics”. The students majoring in 028 Management of Socio-Cultural Activities of 1-4 years, postgraduate students majoring in 033 of Ushynsky University, students of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”, Odesa National Economic University, Cherkasy State Technological University took an active part in organizing the round table. The report “The Importance of Artificial Intelligence for Modern Media” was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of NU “OLA”, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Olena Skalatska. The problematic issues of AI were raised in the discussion speech “Artificial Intelligence – a panacea or a threat to humanity?” by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Instrumentation, Mechatronics and Computer Technologies of ChSTU Maksym Bondarenko. He was supported in his project “Artificial Intelligence Trends 20-25” by a third-year postgraduate student majoring in 033 Philosophy of Ushynsky University Lyudmila Gorodnyuk. The specifics of fantasy naming and its combination with new opportunities for innovation thanks to artificial intelligence were presented in the report “Fantasy Naming: How to Make Money” by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Socio-Cultural Activities of Ushynsky University Yevgen Borinshtein.
The audience perceived the material with interest. The students were interested in the coverage of modern problems. The following speeches were made: 2nd year student majoring in 028 Management of socio-cultural activities “Smarter than the smart: who will teach AI to dream?” by Kateryna Kovry and 1st year student majoring in 028 Management of socio-cultural activities by Maryna Turyab “Fantasy naming and AI: how names from the future are born”.
An interesting discussion of the student audience took place regarding the relationship between artificial intelligence and religion, the use of AI in the religious sphere. In the context of the activities of the “School of Logistics”, the great role of logistics in the practical field of development of artificial intelligence was noted.
The Head of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Socio-Cultural Activities of Ushinsky University, Yevgen Borinshtein, presented the department's new programs in the Liberal Arts direction, including the interdisciplinary ONP for the second (master's) level of higher education "Philosophy of Business and Socio-Cultural Practices".
We hope that the Round Table "Artificial Intelligence and Fantasy Naming" will become an impetus for innovative solutions of our youth.
