On May 21, the students majoring in "Public Management and Administration" and participating in the project "Organization of the Work of a Local Council Deputy" made a working visit to the Odesa City Council.

The Secretary of the Odesa City Council Ihor KOVAL told the students of Ushynsky University about the structure and organization of the work of the Odesa City Council, outlined the powers of its standing commissions, the specifics of the budget process, and paid attention to the activities of the City Council in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Directly in the plenary hall of the City Council, the Director of the Department for the Organization of the Work of the Council Oleksandr TYKHOVSKII acquainted the students with the practical aspects of the functioning of deputies. The issues of the procedure for preparing questions for consideration in the session hall, the approval of draft documents, the preservation of City Council materials in state archives, as well as the order and procedure for holding plenary meetings were considered. The organization of the work of deputies' assistants was considered separately.

The students had the opportunity to ask questions, collect materials for their own scientific work, and even take pictures at the workplaces of city leaders in the plenary hall. The Department of Educational Management and Public Administration expresses its gratitude to the Secretary of the Odesa City Council, Ihor Mykolayovych Koval, and the Director of the Department for the Organization of the Council's Work, Oleksandr Serhiyovych Tykhovsky, for their comprehensive cooperation in organizing the training of students.
