On May 22, the Department of Political Science and Law, the Council of Young Scientists of Ushynsky University, the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate Students, Doctoral Students, and Young Scientists held the V All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Modern Challenges of Socio-Political Development: Political, Legal, and Socio-Economic Dimensions”. The conference was attended by students, masters, postgraduate students, and teachers of the Department of Political Science and Law, as well as universities from other cities of Ukraine, in particular Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Uzhhorod, and Odesa.
The conference presented scientific works in three areas, so the topics were rich, deep, and encouraged reflection and discussion. The following reports attracted particular attention:
“Youth Policy of Ukraine in the Third Year of Full-Scale Invasion” by Mykhailo LEVENTS, a 1st-year master’s student majoring in 052 “Political Science” at Ushynsky University (supervisor – Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Head of the Department of Political Science and Law Svitlana NAUMKINA);
“Cultural Diplomacy as a Soft Power Instrument” by Kateryna PISKUN, a 4th-year student majoring in 052 “Political Science” at Ushynsky University (supervisor – Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Law Svitlana DMYTRASHKO);
“The Use of Nationalism by Political Actors in Crisis Conditions as a Tool for Ensuring National Security” by Vladyslav BARANOV, a 3rd-year student majoring in 052 “Political Science” at Ushynsky University (supervisor – Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Law Inna PRONOZA);
“Strategies of the Kremlin School of Negotiations in the Context of the Russian-Ukrainian War” by Olga PESHTEREVOYA, a 3rd-year student majoring in 052 “Political Science” at Ushynsky University (supervisor – Candidate of Pol. Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Sciences and Law Svitlana DMYTRASHKO);
“Gender Equality in Public Discourse as a Reflection of Identity Changes in Ukrainian Society” by Maria Targonina, a 1st-year student of the Master’s degree majoring in 052 “Political Science” at Ushynsky University (supervisor – Candidate of Pol. Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Sciences and Law Inna PRONOZA);
"Practices of gender mainstreaming in the public administration system of Ukraine in the public administration system of Ukraine" by Maria Targonina, a 1st year master's student majoring in 052 "Political Science" at Ushynsky University (scientific supervisor - Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work G. V. Muzychenko);
"Conceptual approaches to modeling the socio-economic development of Ukraine in the context of European integration" by Maksym Utsehovsky, a 3rd year student majoring in 052 "Political Science" at Ushynsky University (scientific supervisor - Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Head of the Department of Political Science and Law Svitlana NAUMKINA);
"Ireland's Compliance with the Principles of Democracy in Relation to Refugees from the War in Ukraine 2022-2025" by Anastasia Ivakhnenko, a 2nd year student majoring in 052 "Political Science" of Ushynsky University (scientific supervisor - Candidate of Pol. Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Sciences and Law Lyudmila KOZLOVSKA).
Based on the results of the conference, Recommendations were prepared on the use of soft power of cultural and educational diplomacy in forming a positive image of Ukraine in conditions of war and post-war reconstruction. The materials of the conference will be published in the Collection of the V All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Modern Challenges of Socio-Political Development: Political, Legal and Socio-Economic Dimensions".
