On August 15, 2025, a working meeting was held at Ushynsky University with a representative of the Cormack Consultancy Group International Higher Education organization within the framework of the implementation of the international Twinning project.
The meeting was attended by: the coordinator of the Twinning project from the university, Professor Oleksandr Smirnov; the rector of the university, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andrii Krasnozhon; the vice-rector for scientific work, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Hanna Muzychenko; associate professor, coordinator of international projects and programs Volodymyr Chernykh; PhD, head of the international relations department Oleksandra Morhun.
The Twinning project is aimed at building a long-term partnership between Ukrainian and British higher education institutions, exchanging experience, expanding opportunities for academic mobility and jointly implementing innovative educational and scientific programs. The cooperation involves involving leading universities in the UK in supporting the educational process, organizing joint research projects, conducting internships and improving the skills of scientific and pedagogical staff.
During the meeting, Professor Oleksandr Smirnov presented the general concept and main stages of the Twinning project, emphasizing the importance of synergy with British partners for the development of the university's educational and scientific initiatives. Professor Hanna Muzychenko presented in detail the university's scientific schools, the areas of activity of each faculty and the key results of scientific research. The rector, Professor Andrii Krasnozhon, shared his experience of archaeological expeditions and excavations, which have already become part of international research programs. Volodymyr Chernykh presented all international Erasmus+ projects. He presented a joint initiative of Ushynsky University, CARE Caucasus and the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, aimed at supporting Ukrainian youth from among Ukrainian migrants in Georgia in entering Ukrainian higher education institutions; as part of the initiative, training courses for NMT were held with the participation of Ushynsky University teachers.
Oleksandra Morhun spoke about expanding academic mobility opportunities for students and teachers.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue and became another step towards strengthening partnership relations between Ushynsky University and leading universities in the United Kingdom, opening up new prospects for joint educational and scientific initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and integration into the European and global academic space.
