On September 18-19, Odesa hosted the “Bionic Forum: Ukraine’s Rehabilitation & Reforms” – a large-scale event dedicated to the issues of psychological rehabilitation and support for veterans, as well as reforms in the field of healthcare and the country’s recovery.
It is important that our University took an active part in such a powerful international discourse.
The Center for Mental Health became part of the panel discussions that determine modern approaches to recovery and psychological support in Ukraine.
Andrii Bortov, Director of the Center for Mental Health, moderated the satellite symposium “Psychological Rehabilitation”, within which attention was paid to the role of educational and scientific institutions in the development of the mental health support system.
Olesya Borysova is a psychologist, associate professor, doctoral student at the Department of General and Differential Psychology, a provider of psychological services to veterans and their family members, who shared the Ukrainian experience of psychorehabilitation.
With the support of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences, we prove that Ushynsky University not only monitors global trends, but also forms its own unique approaches, combining science, practice and cooperation with key stakeholders.
Participation in such forums goes beyond purely academic activities, as it demonstrates the relevance of the problems raised, their social impact and orientation towards practical actions and real changes. Ushynsky University is today among those who determine the future of psychological support and rehabilitation in Ukraine.
Sincerely,
Center for Mental Health
