A curatorial hour “Literature and integration: the role of the teacher in the formation of European identity”

As part of educational work with the 4th-year students of the Faculty of History and Philology, Pavlyuk N.L., Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literatures, Candidate of Philology. On October 21, 2025, a curatorial hour was held on the topic “Literature and Integration: the Role of a Teacher in the Formation of European Identity”.

The purpose of the event was to understand the role of literature in the education of European values, humanism, tolerance and respect for cultural diversity.

During the meeting, the students, together with the curator, discussed how the works of Ukrainian and foreign writers contribute to the formation of common moral and spiritual guidelines that unite European peoples. Special attention was paid to the role of a modern teacher in the development of critical thinking, civic consciousness and a sense of belonging to the European community in young people.

The participants shared their own thoughts on how a teacher can, through literary education, contribute to Ukraine's integration into the European cultural space. The atmosphere of the event was filled with activity, creative ideas, and the desire of young people to be part of the European future.
