On November 14, 2025, an important stage took place for fourth-year students majoring in 231 "Social Work" of Ushynsky University - the defense of production (diagnostic) practice.
This practice is an integral part of the bachelor's training program. For six weeks, future specialists worked in real conditions, getting acquainted with the practical side of the social worker profession. For six weeks, future bachelors in social work worked in various institutions and foundations. During the practice, the students worked according to individual plans. This year's practice had a clear diagnostic emphasis: students did not just perform current tasks, but learned to deeply analyze social processes, the needs of target groups and the effectiveness of tools used in modern social work.
The final chord was the final reporting conference, during which students presented the results of their diagnostic research. They shared the experience gained, in particular, while working in organizations such as the Young Community Foundation. The speakers presented an analysis of the implementation of innovative social technologies. The Public Budget 2.0 model and its differences from traditional approaches were considered in detail, especially in the context of the challenges of wartime and work with IDPs, and the results of the diagnosis of the needs of youth communities, in particular, the analysis of the request for the development of leadership qualities in school parliaments of the Lviv and Volyn regions, which became the basis for further training work.
The conference was held in the format of a lively discussion. The students shared not only successful developments, but also difficulties that arose during the analysis of documentation and the conduct of diagnostic procedures. It is such an analysis of real cases and the exchange of experience that is invaluable for the formation of professional competencies of a future social worker.
The conference confirmed that practical training has become a valuable stage in the training of future social workers, allowing them to test their knowledge and acquire practical skills.
