Doctor of Philosophy Kateryna Tkachenko attended a closed presentation of new SWEET.TV projects in Kyiv

On January 22, 2026, in Kyiv, Ph.D. Kateryna Tkachenko took part in the closed industry event Friends Only Party, organized by the SWEET.TV television platform. The event was dedicated to the presentation of new television and digital projects of the 2026 season, as well as the announcement of the results of the ratings of the platform's previous shows. The format of the event provided for professional communication among invited participants: television stars, screenwriters, directors, producers and experts in the creative industries. The invitation to the Friends Only Party was due to Kateryna's participation in the first season of the detective show "Traitors", which became one of the most resonant and rated projects of the platform. As part of the event, as a participant in the first season of the project, Kateryna Tkachenko received a personalized statuette with the name of the show and her own name, which became a symbolic recognition of her participation in the television project and contribution to its success. The combination of academic activity with direct experience of participation in the television format creates unique opportunities for a deeper understanding of modern mechanisms of media production, public communication and social interaction, which is important both for the educational process and for working with students. A separate event of the evening was the musical performance of the artist Dantes, who supplemented the industrial presentation with an emotionally rich performative block. The live concert within the framework of the professional event emphasized the synergy of the media industry, musical culture and performative art as key components of modern creative industries. The event presented a number of future platform projects, including the continuation of the show “Traitors” (season 2), the travel format Destination X, the entertainment show “Recognize the Lie”, as well as large-scale musical and performance formats So You Think You Can Dance (known to Ukrainian viewers as “Everybody Dances!”), “Guess the Melody” and Star Academy (an international format known in Ukraine as “Star Factory”). Participation in such industry events is an important component of the department’s practice-oriented approach to training specialists in the field of socio-cultural activities, cultural management and media communications. The experience gained in analyzing modern media formats, production strategies and working with the audience is actively integrated into the educational process and used in educational and project work with students of the EPP “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities” and master’s students of the ESP “Philosophy of Business and Socio-Cultural Practices”.

The department consistently develops cooperation with cultural and media institutions, combining academic training with current practices of modern creative industries.
