On January 22, 2026, a conference of the labor collective of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" was held. The report on the fulfillment of the terms of the contract with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 2025 was delivered by the Rector of Ushynsky University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andriy Vasylovych Krasnozhon.
At the beginning of the meeting, the rector congratulated all those present on the Day of Unity of Ukraine and thanked the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noting that this meeting was made possible only thanks to the heroic feat of our Defenders and Defenders, who defend the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
The rector's report analyzed the main results of educational, scientific, financial and economic activities, fulfillment of the terms of the Collective Agreement and determination of strategic goals for the development of Ushynsky University for the future.
The rector noted that Ushynsky University is a strong academic community that responds to the challenges of the time and ensures the quality of education, high scientific potential and humanity. The University trains highly qualified, competitive professionals in the educational and other fields in the labor market and adheres to the ethical principles of integrity, anthropocentrism, creation and transfer of new unique knowledge.
Professor Krasnozhon A. V. emphasized that in the future, in accordance with the University Charter, the Development Strategy of the State Institution “South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky”, the educational institution under his leadership will conduct successful educational activities, conduct scientific and innovative work, develop international partnerships, ensure financial stability, strengthen the material and technical base and conduct effective management.
In their speeches, the conference participants discussed both the successful activities of the team and the draft decision, which, among other things, contains tasks for the next year. The Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Special Education, Prof. Sokolova G. B., Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Graphics, Assoc. Prof. Tverdokhlibova Ya. M., Head of the Department of History of Ukraine Assoc. Prof. Sekerska O. P. and Chairman of the Student Government E. Rachynsky.
The conference delegates, having heard the report of the rector and co-speakers, unanimously voted to approve the report of the rector A. V. Krasnozhon on the implementation of the terms of the contract with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for 2025.
Also during the conference, the report of the head of the primary trade union organization Assoc. Prof. Yanovsky A. O. was heard. The delegates of the labor conference got acquainted with the initiatives of the head of the trade union, detailed information about financial expenses and constant support for university students.
By the majority of votes of the delegates of the labor conference, the work of the rector and the trade union committee was recognized as “satisfactory”, and the concept of the university’s development for the coming years was supported.
