On February 10, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky expanded its network of partner institutions by signing a cooperation agreement with the Municipal Institution of the Odesa City Council “Grant Office “Odesa 5T”. The agreement was signed by the rector of the university, Andriy Krasnozhon, and the director of the institution, Tamila Afanasyeva. The document establishes long-term cooperation between the parties in the field of organizing and conducting practical training for students.
The partnership provides for students of various educational programs, primarily those majoring in “Public Management and Administration”, to undergo various types of internships at the Grant Office. Future specialists will be able to participate in the real project activities of a local authority: to familiarize themselves with the mechanisms for attracting grant resources, preparing applications, supporting international programs, working with documentation, and coordinating community development initiatives.
Within the framework of the cooperation, students will work under the guidance of experienced specialists of the institution, will have access to practical cases and work processes, which allows combining theoretical training with direct professional experience. The university, for its part, will provide methodological support for practice, program coordination and guidance from teachers.
The agreement is concluded for a period of five years, which creates a stable basis for systematic cooperation, regular referral of students and joint educational and project initiatives.
For the university, this is another step towards strengthening the applied component of training, and for students - the opportunity to work with relevant tools of municipal governance and grant management already during their studies. This format of training contributes to the formation of practical competencies and increases the readiness of graduates to work in public authorities, municipal institutions and project offices for territorial development.
