The topic of the conversation - "Modern views on autism spectrum disorders (ASD)" caused a great resonance among students and teachers.

The speaker shared not only the theoretical developments of her dissertation work, but also practical experience working with this category of requests. The meeting discussed the essence of the concept and the evolution of views on autism; the most common stereotypes about autism that still exist in society and even among specialists were analyzed; factors and diagnostic criteria, features of neurodiversity - the modern transition from the "treatment model" to the model of support and inclusion; diagnostics and intervention, as well as how to adapt psychological support to the individual needs of a child or adult with ASD, etc. The guest's professional path from a second (master's) level graduate of the EPP "Applied and Practical Psychology" to scientific research in postgraduate studies in the specialty "Psychology" and practical work as a psychologist inspires future colleagues to deeply study the chosen issues in psychology, choose the direction of education. The meeting turned out to be meaningful and extremely valuable, because it demonstrates a living connection between university education, science and real practice.
