On March 17, 2026, the postgraduate students of the educational and scientific programs "Educational, Pedagogical Sciences" and "Professional Education" of the Department of Pedagogy, together with their scientific supervisors, joined an open lecture on the topic "New Architecture of Academic Responsibility: From the Culture of Citation to Legal Consequences under the New Law" as part of the Academic Integrity Week at Ushynsky University. The lecture was given by Hanna Muzychenko, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific Work.
The event considered topical issues of academic integrity in the context of the updated legislative field, in particular, the features of forming a culture of correct citation, preventing plagiarism, and increasing the level of academic responsibility of education seekers and scientific and pedagogical workers. Special attention was paid to the legal aspects of violations of academic integrity, as well as new approaches to their prevention and regulation in accordance with current regulatory changes. Participation in the lecture contributed to the deepening of the scientific and methodological training of postgraduate students, the formation of their research culture and the awareness of the importance of adhering to the principles of academic integrity in educational and scientific activities.
The knowledge and practical recommendations received will contribute to improving the quality of scientific research preparation, improving academic writing skills, as well as the formation of a responsible attitude towards the results of one's own scientific work. At the same time, participation in the event became an important platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and understanding of modern challenges in the field of academic ethics and legal regulation of scientific activity.
