On March 25, 2026, a scheduled meeting of the Commission on the Quality of Education was held at Ushynsky University - an important advisory body that ensures a systematic approach to improving the educational process and compliance of the training of higher education applicants with modern educational and professional standards.
The focus of the meeting participants was on the consideration of key issues of the organization and quality of educational activities. In particular, the issue of compliance of the topics of qualification (bachelor's, master's) theses with current scientific and practical challenges was considered. The heads of the commissions on the quality of education of the faculties and institutes of the university presented analytical information on the formation of topics, justification of the appointment of scientific supervisors and reviewers. The correspondence of the topics of qualification theses to the subject of the specialty, the need to ensure the interdisciplinary nature of research, their practical orientation and compliance with modern trends in the development of science and the labor market was emphasized.
Considerable attention was paid to the issue of testing and implementation of the results of qualification theses of higher education applicants - both bachelor's and master's levels. The participants of the discussion emphasized the importance of ensuring that the results of research by higher education students do not remain only within the academic environment of Ushinsky University, but find real application in educational, social and professional practice. There was an increase in the number of works, the results of which are already being implemented in the activities of partner institutions, which indicates an increase in the applied value of the educational process.
A standalone session was focused on the issue of public discussion of educational programs planned for implementation in the 2026/2027 academic year. Deans of faculties and directors of institutes of Ushynsky University presented detailed information on the list of programs offered, as well as those draft educational programs that have already passed the procedure of public discussion lasting at least one month. In their speeches, the heads of structural units emphasized the openness and transparency of this process, the active involvement of stakeholders, employers, graduates and the student community.
Separately, the stage of generalization of proposals and comments received during the public discussion was considered. The members of the Commission emphasized the importance of taking into account constructive recommendations for further improvement of the content of educational programs, their competitiveness and compliance with educational and professional standards.
Summing up the results of the meeting, it was noted that the systematic work of the Commission on the Quality of Education contributes to increasing the efficiency of the educational process, ensures its adaptation to modern challenges and needs of society, and also strengthens the position of Ushynsky University in the market of educational services.
