On March 31, 2026, representatives of the state institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" took part in the second working day of the founding meeting of the international project BSB01214-MicroDanger. This day was dedicated to the work of the Management Committee and the Steering Committee and was of a practical and organizational nature, focused on agreeing on approaches to the further implementation of the project.

In the first half of the day, the participants worked within the framework of the Management Committee meetings, where they discussed the methodological principles of the project, the schedule of team and partner meetings, approaches to conducting dissemination activities, and also made decisions on the methodology for sampling, sample analysis and raising awareness of the problem of microplastic pollution. Special attention was paid to reporting periods, reporting content, work in the JEMS system, details regarding the project website, electronic platform, events and the upcoming symposium.

After the lunch break, Steering Committee meetings were held, during which the partners considered the issues of purchasing equipment, tools and consumables, agreed on the terms and details of the procurement procedures, and also discussed the formats of the committee's work. A separate block was devoted to the preparation of procurement reports, the features of procurement in the JEMS system, and procedural aspects necessary for high-quality project administration.

Participation in the second working day was important for Ushinsky University, because it was at this stage that joint management and organizational approaches were formed, which will determine the effectiveness of the project implementation in the future. The inclusion of the Ukrainian side in these discussions confirms the active role of the university in international cooperation aimed at studying the environmental challenges of the Black Sea region and developing practical solutions in the field of countering microplastic pollution.

The second working day ended with a final General Evaluation session, during which participants summarized the results of the discussions and outlined further steps within the BSB01214-MicroDanger project.
