On April 2, 2026, the 2nd-year students, as part of the activities of the Scientific Society of Students and Young Scientists of the Faculty of History and Philology, together with their teacher, Associate Professor Natalia Kerdivar, attended a meeting with the Ukrainian poet, prose writer, translator and essayist, a classic of modern Ukrainian postmodern literature, Yuriy Andrukhovych.

The event took place on the occasion of the reprint of the novel "Twelve Hoops" by the Vivat publishing house and became a wonderful opportunity to gather at the Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. Hrushevsky.

During the meeting, the participants learned about the history of the novel's creation and the features of its writing, and also heard the author's reflections on literature and life. Yuriy Andrukhovych outlined his own path in writing, shared sources of inspiration and remembered the poet Bohdan-Ihor Antonych, who played an important role in his formation as an artist.

The meeting was not only an introduction to modern Ukrainian literature, but also a vivid event that will remain in the memory of the participants for a long time and will contribute to a deeper scientific understanding of the literary process.
