May 11, 2018, in the city of Odesa, with the support of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, the All-Ukrainian Stage of the XIIІ International Contest "Chinese Bridge" took place, attended by representatives of Ukrainian affiliates of the "Confucius Institutes" from the Kyiv National Linguistic University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, etc. The aim of the competition was to increase the level of foreign language training of students, enrich the inner world of future specialists through the mastering of best examples of Chinese culture and language.

All events have been covered by the leading Chinese and Ukrainian mass media: Central TV of China, Zhenmin Zhibao newspaper, Kyev branch of Xinhua News Agency, regional TV channels "A1", "GTV", information agencies "Black Sea", "South Ukrainian Media Holding " etc.

According to the jury of the competition prize places are:

1st place - Ruban Elizaveta Pavlivna (listener of linguistic and cultural training courses at the Confucius Institute Educational and Cultural Center of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky);

2nd place - Arakelova Karina Artemivna (Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin) and Cherneva Anna Igorevna (South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky);

3rd place - Zhidkov Danilo Ruslanovich, Yulia Olehivna Kobzan (Kyiv National Linguistic University) and Bersutskaya Margarita Janivna (South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky).

All prize-winners of the competition will have the opportunity to go to study in the PRC, and the winner will represent Ukraine at the XIIІ International Contest "Chinese Bridge".
