September 21, 2019, the first meeting of the "Professional Union of Pedagogical Workers of Odesa Region" was held at State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky".

The meeting has been held with the participation of the Rectorate of Ushynsky University, the representatives of the teaching community of Odesa, Chornomorsk, Teplodar, Izmail, Bilyaivkiy, Belhorod-Dnistrovskiy, Berezivskiy, Ovidiopilskiy, Lymanskiy, Rozdilyanskiy, Reniyskiy, Kiliyskiy, Ivanivskiy districts of Odesa region.

During the meeting, urgent issues of teacher training have been discussed. The participants of the forum have exchanged views on various educational projects being implemented in Odesa.

At the same time, a secretariat for a new trade union has been elected and tasked to develop a Statute of the public organization in the near future.
