As part of an international project to create a network of university think tanks, on December 23, 2020, the Center for Socio-Political Research "POLITICUS" of Ushynsky University organized a focus group to discuss the results of analytical research "Local policy after the reset of government due to municipal elections in 2020". applicants for higher education and lecturers of Ushynsky University (heads of Doctor of Political Science, Professor G. Muzychenko and Candidate of Political Science, Professor S. Rostetska).

 The group of experts included well-known political scientists in Odessa - representatives of the Odessa Free Economic Zones: Doctor of Political Science, Professor S. Naumkina, Doctor of Political Science, Professor O. Khoroshylov, and Ph.D., Professor. O. Nadybska, who praised the results of the study and expressed their expert opinions on the threats to local policy and the effectiveness of the city representative body that could potentially arise as a result of the work of the renewed deputy corps of the Odessa City Council. In particular, they touched upon such issues as gender sensitivity, compliance of the program slogans of the political forces, which passed to the city council, with the main priorities of the city development and others.
