On March 16, 2021, as part of the Week of Integrity, an online lecture "Self-plagiarism in scientific publications" was held at Ushynsky University. The main purpose was to acquaint young scientists, competitors for the first level of higher education with the issue of academic integrity when working with publications. The event was held by the Head of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education Gerasimenko V.V.

During the lecture, applicants had the opportunity to consider the main nature, causes and types of self-plagiarism, which were considered by examples; learned about the vision of the concept of self-plagiarism by Ukrainian philologists, about the possible result of non-compliance with academic integrity when working with scientific publications and how to protect yourself from the risk of being accused of self-plagiarism.

At the end of the meeting Gerasimenko V.V. provided recommendations and useful links to expand the horizons of applicants for future qualitative research. There were discussions on a number of issues on this topic from the invited competitors.

In order to disseminate quality and useful information, provide advice, the Center's plans continue to involve all participants in the educational process in important activities of our university.
