On May 21, 2021 in the library of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" a round table on the Day of Science "Modern tools for finding information for scientific research" was held.

The event has been attended by teachers and representatives of the Council of Young Scientists and the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduate and Doctoral Students and Young Scientists.

Library specialists Olena Spasskova, Ph.D. in Arts, and Ksenia Maksym, deputy Director of the library, bibliographer of the 2nd category made a report "Online tools for upgrading research" and talked about scientometric databases Web of science and Scopus and full-text database ScienceDirect, as well as revealed the benefits of bibliographic managers.

Pavlo Haidaenko, Chairman of the Scientific Society of Students, a graduate student of the Department of Political Science and Law, noted the relevance of search tools for scientific achievements, both in research of the past and in the realities of the present.

Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Scientific Bulletin of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky", Ph.D. in Pedagogy, Angela Budnik, Associate Professor of the Department of Slavic Linguistics, spoke on "Modern requirements for scientific articles - from submission to publication." The speaker considered the peculiarities of the publishing process in periodicals and the requirements for scientific articles, as well as stressed the importance of publishing ethics.
