On October 20, 2021, the election of the rector of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky" took place. 612 voters had the right to participate in the election of the rector. The total turnout was 535.

According to the results of the vote count, the protocol of the election commission #5 dated 20.10.2021.

Results of the secret ballot:

- 359 people (58.66%) voted for Krasnozhon Andriy Vasyliovych;

- 162 people (26.47%) voted for Muzychenko Hanna Vyacheslavivna;

- 6 people did not support any candidate (0.98%);

- the number of ballots for voting was declared invalid - 8 (1.3%).
