On March 15, Taras Kremin - Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language (language ombudsman) visited Ushynsky University. The first vice-rector for educational and scientific-pedagogical work Olha Kopus, vice-rector for social-humanitarian and scientific-pedagogical work Andrii Nachev, representative of the Commissioner Yaroslav Vitko-Prysiazhniuk, representatives of youth student and public organizations, and university students took part in the meeting.

During the meeting, the importance of observing language legislation, in particular the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language", violations of rights in the field of services, violations of language legislation in the field of education, the use of non-state languages by officials of state authorities and local self-government bodies while performing their duties.

The meeting took place in the "question-answer" format. All those present could ask questions to the language ombudsman and get meaningful answers to them. During the discussions, attention was paid to the need to create a network of student language ombudsmen.

And even the air alarm and the continuation of the meeting in the shelter did not prevent the friendly communication of the organizers with the students and guests of our university.
