On May 18, 2023, according to tradition, the Open Day of the Faculty of Foreign Languages was held in the premises of the Confucius Institute Educational and Cultural Center. The event was attended by students of senior classes of secondary schools in Odesa.
Those present were greeted by the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages O. V. Popova and the ex-head of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" from the Chinese side Ding Xin. Representatives of the Department of Translation and Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, the Department of Germanic Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages, the Department of Western and Eastern Languages and Methods of Their Teaching spoke about the specifics of training in specialties 014 Secondary Education "Language and Foreign Literature (English, Chinese, Korean)" and 035 "Philology".
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, representatives of student self-government spoke during the event. The program of the concert included performances of various genres - recitations of Chinese poems, popular songs and dances, presentations of scholarship programs of the Confucius Institute and academic mobility with Korean universities. After the concert, school graduates were counseled on admission to the university in the above specialties.
