On May 24, 2023, on the platform of the Confucius Institute Educational and Cultural Center of Ushynsky University, students congratulated Harbin Engineering University on its 70th anniversary!

This event also included the continuation of the academic mobility program. Scientific and pedagogical workers of the department of translation and theoretical and applied linguistics and the department of Western and Eastern languages and their teaching methods were involved in the event. The Chinese side was represented by Liu Xijia, deputy head of the International Relations Department of Harbin University of Engineering, Cung Chengju, co-director of the Confucius Institute from the Chinese side, and teachers Liu Xu, Liu Nan, Liu Bin, Jiang Haomiao.

Students - future sinologists had the opportunity to watch a video film about the Harbin University of Engineering and familiarize themselves with the cultural treasure of the Celestial Empire, namely: learn about the traditional costume of the Han people of China, which these days are worn only during solemn ceremonies or in historical TV series and films; to see the guqin - the oldest plucked musical instrument of China, which has a pronounced national flavor; enjoy a classical dance and a drone camera panorama of the Hainan Island branch of Harbin University of Engineering.

At the end of the event, those present expressed congratulations on the anniversary and their thoughts on the importance of academic cooperation and took photos.
