September 13, 2018, within the framework of expanding international academic cooperation, South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky was visited by the member of the Polish Pedagogical Society, the Secretary of the Polish Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Doctor of Humanities, Professor Jerzy Nikitorkovich, Department of Intercultural Education of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University in Bialystok (Poland).

For the first time in the history of Ukraine in Odessa there has been a large-scale open-water swimming competition - OCEANMAN. This is a series of competitions that are staged in several cities throughout the year. Since 2016 OCEANMAN is an international open-water world championship for both amateurs and professionals.

The students of the Faculty of Music and Choreography will take part in subscription concerts of the Odessa Philharmonic in the new concert season. The ensemble of percussion instruments under the direction of the teacher of the chair of musical and instrumental preparation, candidate of art studies Hanna Ralo will present to the listeners unexpected interpretations of the most famous works and introduce the public to those that are rarely performed.

August 12-23, 2018, with the support of Ushynsky University, a visit was made by university lecturers and other educational institutions to the cities of Harbin and Beijing of the People's Republic of China under the program "Innovations in the system of school and university education of the People's Republic of China".

The reporting Conference of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" at Ushynsky University was held on August 16, 2018 in Harbin Engineering University at the meeting of the Board of Partners. The results of the Center for the years 2017-2018 have been presented by the co-director of the Confucius Institute from the Ukrainian side - Olexandra Popova, the Chinese side- Ding Xin. August 16, 2018, the official opening of the "Ukrainian Cultural Research and Information Center of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" was held on the basis of Harbin Engineering University. The representatives of the diplomatic missions of the Government of the People's Republic of China, university rectors and public organizations have been invited to the event. The representative delegation of scientists, teachers of various educational institutions, students in the number of 25 people have arrived from Odessa to Harbin.
